After 13 snow days we finally made it to 100 days of school! We have been 3rd graders for 100 days and we have learned so much. So today in celebration of 100 days we did a few fun and interesting things to honor 100. We started our day off by doing 100 piece puzzles with a partner for morning work. This was GREAT teamwork and problem solving. After we completed the puzzles we worked on 100 grid puzzles. We created a 100 grid and then solved puzzles to create letters out of our numbers. It was super fun. After math we created collages of ourselves. Not just our everyday selves, but our 100 year old selves! It was hilarious and enjoyable. We used all kinds of materials to create these collage self-portraits. After we finished the masterpiece we used our writing time to write about ourselves at 100. Let's just say we have BIG dreams for 100 and I wish I could be around to see it all happen. To sum it all up we are going to have LOTS of wild times with our great-grand kids, live it up in nursing homes and be in love! They really were the sweetest things and I can't wait to send them home for you to see and read. But for now they are in the hallway for everyone else to enjoy and they have been a HUGE hit.
OF COURSE I included pictures of our day for you to enjoy!
ARE THEY NOT THE CUTEST THINGS EVER!?
You will have to ask your kiddo which one is them.
Also- February is I LOVE TO READ month and in celebration each classroom is supposed to decorate our door. I chose the book A Bad Case of Stripes by David Shannon. Here is our finished product of it too!
HAPPY 100TH DAY!
I am so glad to have spent 100 days with this great bunch of kids.
Great things are happening in room 201! Thanks for stopping by.
